Privacy and data boundaries
Your PDF and text stay in your browser
PDFs are opened, rendered and read on your device. Speech is generated on your device. The PDF, its file name, the narration text and the generated audio are not uploaded to this website. They are held in browser memory for the current tab and released when you close it.
Files your browser downloads
To read PDFs and generate speech locally, your browser downloads public software and model files from third-party hosts when you use those features: the PDF reader (PDF.js) and the speech runtime (ONNX Runtime Web) from cdn.jsdelivr.net, the KittenTTS voice model and voice files from huggingface.co, and English pronunciation dictionaries from raw.githubusercontent.com. Like any web request, these hosts receive your IP address and browser information. No PDF content or narration text is sent to them. The speech library's own usage analytics are switched off.
Feedback is optional
If you send feedback, only your message, its category and an optional reply email are sent to the site operator. Do not include confidential content. Feedback is stored privately for up to 90 days; the IP address is used temporarily to prevent abuse and is not stored with the message.
Ordinary server requests
The web server records ordinary requests for pages and static files, including IP address and request metadata, for delivery and abuse prevention.
Advertising and consent
This site may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage and device information to measure and personalize ads where permitted. Where a consent message appears, use it to accept or reject optional processing and to change your choice later. PDF content and narration text are never sent to advertising services.
How Google uses information from sites that use its services
Third-party software
The speech engine is KittenTTS Web with the KittenTTS Nano model (Apache-2.0, license). PDFs are read with PDF.js. This independent tool is not affiliated with these projects. Only convert documents you have the right to use.
